King George VI's stutter With the Royal family in the spotlight at the moment between the Duke's passing and those Harry and Meghan scandals ^(who creeps me out for some reason) , it reminded me of king George VI for some reason. It just came to my mind that while it is generally accepted that he chose George to remind of his father and to keep Albert for his close ones, and some people say that "Albert" sounded too german which wasn't a good thing at that time. What if he actually changed it because of the ironic name curse ? Most of us have some degree of struggle with our own names so maybe George was harder for him, that wouldn't be surprising right ? What do you think ? Would you change your name too if you ever get crowned ?
