This is why I wish I could communicate solely in writing, honestly. I sound (and look) like a complete idiot, and people treat me like I'm stupid as soon as they hear me try to speak. I have a ton of interests and do very well in school and I could otherwise be funny and a good conversationalist, but no one wants to talk to me because it's so awkward and I sound so dumb. Most of the time I don't bother trying to speak unless it's absolutely necessary.
