Resources Hey all, long time lurker of this sub. I (27M) have a mild stutter that, as we know, is worst in situations where I reallyyy don’t want it to be. Saying my name, saying my phone number, address etc. (I actually have changed my phone number for this very reason so it’s easier to say). I did years of speech therapy, It is prevalent, my coworkers are aware and I work with a lot of clients and do tech education. Everyone is usually understanding when I have blocks. (For those with coping mechanisms, I flick my tongue on blocks, and this can definitely be misconstrued if the person/customer doesn’t know me personally). Anyway, I’ve been in tech awhile now, and am interested in just helping people build community. This thread has been a huge help for me personally, using techniques or tips from here actively in work (they do not always work lol). Anyway, I wanted to ask everyone what resources/tips/tricks have been the most helpful for you all. Hoping to consolidate some tips and hopefully it can help even 1 person to feel supported. Tldr: what stutter/speech resources do you use, value, or wish you were aware of sooner?
