Breathing definitely contributes a lot. I never seem to keep on top of it though. I find myself really tense and no air left in me so I pause and take a massive breath. I struggle with my thank you’s and I’ve got it down to a T now. Do you ever go through phases of using the same phrases? I caught myself constantly saying ‘there we go’ in conversations. I realised that it actually helped me spit out words so I started saying the phrase under my breathe followed by THANK YOU. I’ve been doing it for months and it’s helped a ton. I still feel the anxiety when I go to say it but I’m always happy once I’ve said it I should mention too that I’m not over my stutter in any shape or form. The past 3 years have been my worse and I feel like it’s going to stay that way. Don’t chase trying to ‘cure’ yourself because you’ll end up depressed when you have a bad spell. Focus on techniques and improving but don’t expect to be 100% fluent straight away. But harsh, I know but this is also a technique I use. Not really a technique but just a self mentoring thing I do to try prevent depression and all the things that go alongside it
