Working at a call center with a stutter? This was my second job and it literally involves communicating with people over the phone all day. I was in training for 3 weeks for this job and hated every second of it. I failed the exam by purpose so I get switched departments. Now I'm in training for another department that is only phone calls and I've been having to introduce myself to alot of other coworkers , etc. I'm a very awkward guy, I just dont like my voice and think I may have slight Dysarthria and apraxia(I'm only 20 btw and planning to go to the doctor on Saturday). It sucks they're usually looking at me funny like I'm a retard trying to understand what I say because I don't only stutter I moreso slur my words and have trouble saying certain words , tbh I haven't notice my stutter and social anxiety improve much... I'm planning to leave tomorrow as I really don't need this job my mom pressured me into staying but I think it would be better if I took this summer to completely focus on myself physically and mentally. Money is not as issue but I've already earned a decent amount of this job. What are your opinions and I was also wondering is there possibly a hotline or somewhere I could call to practice my speech ?
