Take control of your life buddy. Have you sought out speech therapy? How often do you practice talking? (This may be reading aloud or presenting on video on your own etc) speaking and fluency is a skill that you can develop with practice. Do you practice small talk to make initial interactions easier? A big step is to stop avoidance. Avoidance leads to fear. Fear makes your stuttering worse. Stuttering is something that happens. How you let it affect you is down to you. As for me. I have ups and downs. I used to stutter on every other word. Now it is maybe once every few sentences. I didn’t talk to people for about 18 months when I was 17/18. I felt like I couldn’t speak. I killed a lot of social links. I decided I had to change myself. I had to get out there. I had to get some therapy etc. Generally I now have reasonable control of my blocks. This is all due to practice. Of course… sometimes I stutter uncontrollably. I recently had a huge struggle ordering food and drinks.. it happens. I feel stuttering makes my life more difficult. I feel though that half the battle is the mental battle to put myself out there. I am winning that and my life is going pretty well as a result.
