I didn’t get that from your post, you made a great point, OP. Men and women do face unique challenges with stuttering, and that guy saying that to you would probably make you wonder. I totally get it. Women are far less likely to stutter, so their voices are less heard in the community. Posts like yours are great to hear their experiences and that guy made a big assumption without really having much ground to stand on. It’s understandable to want to get a female perspective on something you rarely get. I was lucky to be raised by a woman who stutters, so I got a lot of support and understanding as well as insight on what it’s like for the opposite sex. I just commented from what I was seeing a lot in the comments. It’s something I always see on Reddit for pretty much everything and it always amazes me how people will make such a leap.
