I just read the title and didn’t even read the actual post. I’m answering the question with one word: yes. I’m 17f, and I’m pursuing zoology and I want to specialize in herpetology. Dissertations and presentations and public speaking in scientific fields like that occur just about as much as breathing. I am not giving up on what I want to do because of my stutter, and I plan on using it to my advantage. Even in job interviews for part time jobs, in my experience people are interested to hear that stuttering is something that’s made you stronger and more resilient. Stuttering is an advantage in so many ways, more than it’s a disadvantage. A stutter does not need to be overcome or eliminated for us to be respectable and productive. We can stutter and do anything we want, while blocking and struggling through it all. No one can fucking stop us. Okay essay over lol.
