This is objectively true, but when you’re surrounded by people who have more than you you’re undoubtedly going to feel like you’re under privileged if you have a disability, and relatively speaking you are. You should definitely acknowedge what you have objectively, and how lucky you are to have that (like electricity, running water, internet access, etc.) but at the same time you should accept that you’re going to feel unlucky if everyone around you has more than you. The way I help myself to stop feeling down is to realise that although at the moment it may seem like everyone has it better than you, we all have no idea what anyone else’s life is like and how hard it is for them/ their private struggles, it’s just our struggles are more obvious and can’t be excluded in our public life.
