I graduated college in 2006. Yeah, fucking exhausting... Asking to go first is a great idea, I frequently volunteered to go first. Thoughts that come to mind are to try to not focus on the upcoming presentation on the day, prepare the days before, but the day of - try to just go about your day like normal. Exercise- if you don't now - try to start - it helps relieve stress and will help your body cope with the stress you feel around speaking. Try to incorporate humor into the presentation. Maybe with an on topic joke in your intro, Photoshop a photo of you or professor or someone/thing relevant to the presentation in a silly way. Audiences to presentation are usually more than happy to have a laugh... I know I am after watching a few presentations a laugh is welcome and helps to ease the tension if your audience laughs with you. It gets easier with practice. Embrace it before you have to give a presentation to a bunch of suits.
