you can belive in a god without taking the bible literally. first you don't have to be christian. (you just came in and assumed they are, why?). secondly you can just choose to discredit the people who decided what the bible should say for their own gains. (zero christians I know personally think it was written by god). thirdly you can appreciate the teachings of christ and think most of the bible is rubbish and some christians are bad. (this is me). and the list goes on.. I think your understanding of theology is veeery narrow, even if it is deep.
