I feel you on this one. I'm just as puzzled on why this happens, but if I were to make a guess.. I believe it could be due to how long it takes us stutterers to deliver our thoughts properly, which causes people to no longer pay us attention. I also view it as people condescending me for my "imperfect" speech, and thus, labelling me as a weirdo or something lol
