What techniques/tips do u use to control your speech impediment? My speech issue includes speaking very fast and rushing through where people can't understand, disfluency where parts of what I'm saying is very fast, stuttering, glottal attack. i have this since birth I find what can causes this includes anxiety/stress (like mental health), confidence, being tired/sleepy mentally, not being present (like mindfulness), and tight mouth/jaw, not being relax. From my speech therapy sessions I had, some of the things I find to work, and tips my therapist told me are: * actively watch what/how I'm saying things (flow and breathing). Don't let everything out. Be in control * easy on-set and flowing between words * try limiting hard attacks on word by making it softer * visual the words I want to say, making sure I say each word fully, and stretch the vowels. Focus on the individual word and vowels of each word more. * make sure I have enough sleep, which helps with mindfulness and mental health * practice speaking for example reading /record myself for playback for improvement * practice deep breathing from the diaphragm/stomach instead of the chest/lungs. this is something I have to manage constantly. The more I don't the more often my speech problems comes. I haven’t been practicing for a year now so my speech isn’t good. Do you guys find in some scenarios; your speech suffers more or less?
