Why not see a doctor for ADD then? Just tell them you can’t focus and it’s making life really difficult. If you don’t have any history of attention problems(like you had really good grades in school), then say you never really had to focus or study because you’re smart and didn’t need to pay attention. Doctors don’t know everything, especially when it comes to the relatively uncommon disorders like stuttering. They’ll assume you stutter because of anxiety and will think stimulants will only make it worse. For me, ADD meds helped me focus on conversations and speaking so my fluency improved a lot. If I take an adderall and a Xanax, my speech is perfect.
