I'm in college at the moment, too, and I've felt the same way lots of times. Being sometimes laughed at or ignored due to the fact that I take a bit more time for talking than others, I've often felt low. There's still a lot of things to do towards the acceptance of stuttering. People just cannot understand it, it's not familiar to them as it's not represented in the media. Maybe because successful representation is usually thought to be connected to fluent speech. Just one little tip: be a rebel, speak when you want to, and don't give a fuck about the consequences.
