The kid was receiving intensive therapy 4x/week, so it was beyond “being a brat”. I got instantly super fluent and said “I know you wouldn’t say that to another kid”. I basically just did the opposite. I practiced doing voluntary repetitions (talked in mirror, called random stores etc) Thrn before talking, I try to make eye contact, begin slowly and on an exhale. It’s not easy at first, but if it works, as long as you keep it up, your blocks will permanently decrease a huge amount. And you probably will barely notice your repetitions.
