I got so irritated in the 2nd season of Outlander with the girl who stuttered. They portrayed her as weak and meek and just somebody who couldn’t stand up for herself. Then they had the stutter just go away when she fell in love and had another character say that’s why she doesn’t stutter anymore. Not to mention that the stuttering itself was done poorly and relied mostly on stereotypical stuttering.
