> The inability to say your own name when put on the spot might be the worst feeling in the world. Preaching to the choir... My first name starts with a hard 'C' and my last name starts with a hard 'B'. Yeah, having to introduce myself is terrible (or having to say my name for voting, etc.). Like others have said, are you sure that anxiety isn't a *consequence* of your stuttering? In another post someone had said that Xanax helps them (but I kind of worry about becoming dependent on it). And yes, my stuttering is the "blocking" kind of stuttering, like I can't make sounds when I get stuck. (Only sometimes it is the "repeating sounds" type.) Have you tried *talking* to anybody about your stuttering (or rather: how you *feel* about your stuttering)? Just the other day i wrote [this long response](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/5h5v2h/not_sure_where_to_go_from_here/db1ui2a/) in another topic that kind of summarizes my experience at work as well as finally talking to someone about it. It *really* helps with that "alone" feeling.
