I've had multiple gfs throughout h.s. and university. However only 2 serious ones in my life. In h.s. She was a weeb, I was a weeb. We were weebs together for 2 yrs. Broke up during uni, it sucked. Life moves on. However, my wife I met in university at 20 yrs old. She was the randomly assigned roommate to one of my female friends. We'd talk ever so often, but looking back at it, I asked her out for ice cream via AOL IM. Along with most of our chats. I'd like to say my charm and wit is what won her over, but I still wonder was she saw then. I was a smart slacker; just wanted to be a chemist lab tech and live a simple quiet life. I never actually asked her to marry me either. On a trip to Paris for a scientific conference I had a ring on hand since I've been trying for months to find the right moment to ask her. I brought her along to sight see while I was at the conference. One day I skipped the conference and we explored. While at the grounds of the natural science museum, we sat down to ppl watch and hear the guy playing a piano in the distance. With the perfect setup she asked "how much do you love me?" And being the smooth guy I am just slid the ring on her and said "this much." She said yes and frequently teases me I never asked or did the he knee thing. She just blindly said yes. We were married at 25. It's been 5 yrs since then (31 now) and my wife is my best friend. She's pushed me to go to grad school (MSc), be more than a Iab tech and buy a house this year. She really helps me out when I can't handle calling customer service or all the questions we had during the house buying process. She says she never notices my stutter, but I sure do when we're trying to best each other with witty comebacks. She's really nice. I like her.
