omg. For the first time someone mistook me as being mentally challenged and told other people so they all treated me that way I went to the dentist today. At check in, I got stuck saying my name(which usually happens. One of the hardest words for me to stay). I finally got it out and the front desk person immediately changed tone to talk to me like I was a child. "Ok sweety, thanks for telling me. Are you able to read this form we need you to sign?". I went to wait for my turn, and the dentist assistant comes to get me. The person at the front desk pulls her aside real quick and I can literally hear her say "he is is special". It was mortifying to say the least. For the rest of the time I was treated like a child or mentally challenged person. Acting like I was incapable of understanding anything. I feel like I can never go back now
