I'm a high school teacher with a moderate-to-severe stutter. The best advice I can give you is to get ahead of the game. You're swapping emails with the people you're going to meet? Give them a heads up! Example: "PS. By the way, I stutter, so don't worry if I get stuck when we talk in person! I'll eventually say whatever I'm trying to say! :) " People *always* react better to a stutter if they know what is going on. As a bonus, slipping it into an email also communicates that your stutter doesn't control your life (and you can fake it 'till you make it!).
