That is just normal, the added stress of getting this right just elevates your stutter, plus you dont have many words that you can change. I'd say the more you speak only English, the stutter is going to decrease, so just gotta live with it I guess. Be thankfuk you're in the US, people there are a hundred times more considerate with you, so try and speak a lot
