Mine seemed to be anxiety induced. I developed a severe stuttering problem in first grade…I think it was gone by some point in 2nd grade. There was some “math class trauma” in first grade that seemed to trigger it…too long of a story but…maybe stuttering is a sign of anxiety induced by some recent change or event? Or maybe some signal of autism? I am now realizing/learning many years later that I am most likely on the spectrum
