I get that.. I really do.. Let me give you another perspective.. This is coming from the perspective of a middle aged guy that's been relatively succesful. But came from the bottom (HS Dropout). Your stutter will not impact someones perspective on you OR the company. We all have this fake idea of professionalism in our head that's very vanilla, and "retail based". By that I mean it's what the retail stores we all worked in teach us. Once you get out of that and you start doing something more complex we'd all rather work with real humans that are themselves. In addition what REALLY matters is can you solve my problem. Will you go above and beyond? Will you own it when you screw up (you will) and work harder to make it better? What am attempting to say is use that fear about the stutter and the bad reputation to force yourself to go above and beyond on the other things. At least that's what has worked for me. And yes.. I still worry that the stutter will make them not take me seriously. :) But I push harder because of it.
