33 and life long stutterer. Stuttering does not mean you're stupid. Stuttering does not relate to your intelligence at all. It has nothing to do with who you are. Even though is can feel like all you are at times. Yea, it sucks because there are people that will judge you for it, as they have me...but that doesn't mean you have to think the same way. You have to accept it. Not in the "in your face accept me and love me just because of this one thing about me!!!" attitude that some people have, but in the "I stutter, it takes me longer to say some things...that's all." As cliche as it sounds, love yourself. Something I've had to work on constantly for many years.
