What makes us stutter? Seriously, you ever think about it? Our brains are just wired so that something sets off this reaction where we just can't get the word out. But what's that thing? What causes that reaction? There has to be something. Or maybe, several things. Or maybe for some people it's a lot of things. But I feel like it's worth trying to figure out what those things are! Like we have clues to look at, right? For example, when don't we stutter? And when do we stutter a shitton? Personally I don't stutter when I'm REALLY into what I'm saying (sometimes, moreso when it's something I'm very passionate about especially that I don't get to talk about often). Or when I'm super fucked up on certain substances I won't stutter at all. I'll stutter a lot with my mom and dad, but I'll NEVER stutter if I'm cursing someone off. I almost always stutter on my name. But what are these clues?? What are your guys experiences? When do you guys stutter the most, least? Stuttering is way under researched, maybe we could figure some things out...
