Don't lose hope. I am also sick of all of the "accept your stutter, bla bla, look at these successful stutterers". This is daily suffering for me. But I am not losing hope that one day I will not stutter. Try talking to yourself when no one is around. You'll see that you're perfectly fluent. The cure lies there somewhere. I don't have the answer, but if we can be perfectly fluent when alone I'm sure there is a way we can be fluent when not alone. Also, as of now there is a phase II FDA study of a potential drug that reduces stuttering called ecopipam. If they can get to phase 3, it might be available in 3-5 years. I know that seems like an eternity and this drug will probably not cure stuttering, but it might at least reduce it. Many people, like our president, become basically fluent. It can happen to you too. I hope it does. Keep at it. And maybe try to see a therapist if you can. Remember that it's not the stuttering that causes suffering, it's everything around it
