I'd say skip the meds and go for desensitisation. Keep exposing yourself to situations. It's gonna feel HORRIBLE at first. But it WILL get better. Start small - ordering a drink at a bar/food etc. Keep doing it. You'll get better each time. Each time you do it, think on what you did well and what you're pleased with. Don't linger on the negatives. Write down what you did well. Give yourself 6 months! See how far you've come when you look back on this at the end of the year : )
