Struggling to say certain words in conversations

Struggling to say certain words in conversations I’ve experienced this issue since childhood. When speaking to others, my speech typically flows smoothly, but occasionally, certain words seem to get stuck. It feels as though the word is caught in my throat, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t force it out. The only way to release it is by making a physical motion, such as leaning forward or jolting, as if I’m pushing the word out of my throat. To manage this, I often change the word with a synonym when I anticipate it happening, which helps make the issue less noticeable to others. Initially, I assumed this was anxiety-related since it only occurs when I’m interacting with other people, not when I’m alone. However, it also happens around family and friends I’m comfortable with, so now I’m not sure what could be the cause. After researching, the term "speech block" seemed to describe my what’s happening most accurately, but I still don’t fully understand it. This makes it hard to figure out how to stop it from happening again. I have been diagnosed with social anxiety, which might be a contributing factor. I’m curious to know if others have experienced similar speech difficulties and, if so, how they have managed or resolved the issue. Sorry for the long rant, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
