Yeah, that's one way to manage it. It's not a technical term, and it doesn't refer to a singular thing. It's just the word I've landed on over time through attempts at expressing my sentiments in here. I don't like the word "control" in this regard, but I do feel like "managing" sounds better. That's the fickle thing about finding phrases though - not everyone understands them the same way. So, I try to be verbose about it when I can. But most of the time, I find that the main point can be delivered: Therapy doesn't have an end goal of 'fluency, and then you're done for life'. Rather, you have to learn to 'manage all the time'. That's why I keep using that word. :)
