Understanding and Controlling Stuttering by william parry has a lot of good detail and science as far as how stuttering works. He also offers his own theory on one of the primary culprits. I think it's valid. If you just want a good autobiography to read for fun, in case you havent met many other people who stutter or just want to relate, Stuttering: A Life Bound Up in Words by Marty Jezer is pretty good.
