Wow, that's complete BS. The ADA doesn't have a list of what is or is not a disability. It just has to be a condition that "substantially limits a major life activity". Clearly you can argue about what substantially means, but if it's more than very slight, it should be a no-brainer. But you're right. Many schools don't like making accommodations. But if you push back, you can usually get them to do something.
