There are baby steps you can take to start talking more, to feel more comfortable communicating with others. For example, years ago I had anxiety talking on the phone. Whenever the phone would ring my heart would race and I could not do anything but stutter really bad, fighting to get the words out. To overcome this I started to call retail stores to ask them a simple question. After I got comfortable with that, I downloaded this App called Walkie and started to talk with people all over the world. I told them I stuttered and was practicing my speech. Fast forward years later, I speak on the phone on a daily basis as part of my job, mostly fluently. We humans can adapt and change and overcome our fears. In my opinion stuttering is mostly a social anxiety disorder. Stuttering in itself gets much more manageable once you deal with the fear and avoidance. To truly live we can't avoid life and people. Good luck on your journey. Baby steps.
