I just took a deep breath and asked them out. They said yes. 21 years and 3 kids later.. it went well. I was painfully shy at the time. I had missed a few opportunities to go on dates and felt bummed out. I saw friends getting girlfriends and just decided to go for it. I figured rejection was better than not even trying.
