I actually started going through some of the more popular books on stuttering that aren't necessarily "traditional" in their approach and That's the first book I tried. I had high hopes and, as you said, was disappointed by the tangents and not getting to the point... at all. I am currently trying ruth mead's book, speech like a river and I feel that it has similar problems. I also tried nlp and stuttering by Bob bodenhamer, and although I was very into it, it was very very dry and sllightly unclear what the practical steps he recommends based on his theory. If anyone has reccoemndations for other books or articles that helped them, Id love to hear what helped you.
