If there is no cure for stuttering you can assume that every technique is wrong. The point here is that like every habit and improvement we want to make, it takes effort and consistency. You have to use the techniques that work for you since every stutter is different. I get your point but is very limiting. If you don't trust speech therapist are you trusting on some random documents on the internet? Of course you should go to someone that is specialised on the subject but it's an active research area, so you will have multiple tips and tricks from different views.
