You need to start by seeing yourself as more than your stutter. The way you speak doesn’t define you. If you were to ask 5 people who know you “what can you tell me about me?” They all would have more to say about you than your stutter. Seriously - look in the mirror, and say 5 or 6 nice things about yourself, it works. I have a stutter and body dysmorphia. Every morning no matter how gross I imagine I look, or how self conscious I am about having to speak that day at work, I look in the mirror and say out loud (it has to be spoken out loud) “you have beautiful eyes, you have good skin, you are a good dog dad, you are a good husband, you are a kind person, you treat others with patience and compassion” It really works!
