No, every severe PWS really deserves my condolences even though I am a mild PWS! I know when you have severe stuttering everytime you speak it's gonna be a mental torment, but 'accept it' is not just a pure inspiring without scientific evidences. You gotta be aware that we PWS have different neurologies(if your stuttering is developmental one) so we can never 'speak normally', which means we can't have 100% natural fluencies and also we must not focus on fluency since natural fluency can't be forced out. We can only 'make sounds' to communicate by focusing on 'melody' of our speeches or just contents but focusing on fluency is never a good goal for us. We gotta know our speech is differently wired from normal speakers so if we speak in the same way as normal speakers of course it will backfire and deteriorate the situations. I discovered many people here are trying to assimiliate themselves to normal speakers and convinced that they are sparing effective and positive efforts for it. The truth is, it will never happen because neurologies are different! But don't get me wrong I never said stuttering can never disappear simultaneously! But that is not labored. I am gonna make a crude analogy: Do you think it's possible for a human being to fly as birds do? But you can try 'labored flying' with hang gliders, which is never 'natural flying' which birds can accomplish. That's the point, which also corroborate why we should accept stuttering since stuttering can't disappear with your efforts, not to mention not accepting stuttering will integrate a lot of anxieties and fears into your speaking and then your 'anticipations' of stuttering will worsen by a lot, and then here comes the vicious cirle. Also remember stuttering is not YOUR FAULT. You are already trying your best when y ou are speaking! So accepting it is not just a babysitter.
