Have you tried speech therapy? A professional could probably explain this better. As a person who also blocks, though, here’s what I can tell you: there’s no real way to “move past” a block. You can work on getting rid of the facial gestures, sure. Everybody winds up with a few “secondary stutters,” like breaking eye contact, making faces, or moving your hands. You can definitely make your stutter look and act more like what people expect it to be. A therapist will show you how to achieve this. However, you can’t just practice a technique to move past the block itself. Something like that sadly doesn’t exist yet. And hey, listen man. Ronald Really may not have been a fantastic guy, but he was probably one of the best orators the Oval Office has ever seen. Biden, Marylyn Monroe, and the voice of Darth Vader all have (or had) stutters. Check out the Stuttering Foundation site, they’ve got a whole list. Just look into speech therapy, dude. It can only improve your situation.
