Definitely tell him. I've met another stutterer once betfore, and was too afraid to tell him that I stutter too. His stutter was more pronounced than mine and I felt like he would think i'm making fun of him, if I mentioned it. I really regret not saying anything, as I realised afterwards that he may have benefited from having a conversation about it. So definitely tell him!
