Somewhat similar experience here. Stutterer now working as a sign language interpreter. Now, keep in mind that interpreting is not only going from spoken English to ASL, but also includes signed ASL to spoken English. I have good days and bad days. Sometimes I just get in the zone and do great, other days are tough. But I'm always upfront about it and try my best. No one has ever had a significant issue with my stutter. That's the main thing....good days, bad days.
