Have I developed a stutter? In my mid teens, teachers and other figures of authority always said saying umm or uhh, was a bad habit, and through university, I have tried to get rid of this habit during presentations by speaking slower and taking my time. Now recently, I've noticed that I have been consistently repeating the first word of my sentence when I have something unplanned to say or pressured to say something (asked a question that catches me off guard, etc), or maybe even blurting stuff out to respond to someone's question. Not sure if its because im overthinking of what im about to say or its a confidence or anxiety issue? I have been taking edibles/smoking weed recreationally and I have done psychedelics in the past, but I dont think the cause would be from these? I would say this developed when the quarantine first started. Also, i have been playing a first person shooter called Valorant and I tend to blurt the same sentence/word 2-3 times for communication purposes but other than that I don't know why I developed a stutter.
