Yeah, his Dad in Fall of 2018 and his Mom in the spring of last year. I agree that it's more than stuttering alone. His behaviour hasn't really changed since the loss of his parents, it just happens that I'm the only person left with whom he will talk. I do have my own mental health professional, and I am working on myself. He has access as well, paid for by Veteran's Affairs, but there is zero chance of him going to talk to someone because of, well, the talking to someone part. I have mentioned it to my own therapists (I work with a couple because that's how VA does it here) and while they are sympathetic, none of them seem to really understand at all what it's like to no be able to communicate freely. It's frustrating for me, I can't imagine what it would be like for him were I to somehow convince him to see someone. Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to read my long-winded post.
