No problem. Something else that will help is presenting well and actually talking a lot. When someone meets a stutterer for the first time they're going to think something is wrong with them mentally. It's our worst fear and makes us all cringe to imagine, but we need to live in that reality. That means we have to present well in every other aspect. Well groomed, showered and well dressed. We don't have the luxury of being able to get by with sloppy dress and mediocre hygiene. Especially for first impressions. Anyone who spends any amount of time will learn that the things that eventually come out of our mouths are perfectly normal and well informed, but it's important to still look like you really take care of yourself. It will signal that you do indeed have your shit together mentally and will also boost your confidence about meeting people. This should encourage you to talk more to your new coworkers. The more they hear you talk, the less they will think something is wrong with you. Make sure and get a haircut and smell good.
