I, as well as others that I’ve encountered who stutter agreed that we stutter way more when there’s a definitive answer one that has no loopholes and things you can’t beat around the bush with. Idk the Psychological or neurological reasons behind it but straight forward questions like what is your name? Or how old are you? Throw us off bc so many of us are used to finding alternative ways to say one thing which is useful until you’re needed to be stern and direct. You’re not alone with this it’s frustrating on our end but to others they really want to know what your saying so if their body language shows annoyance you may just be in your head or reading them wrong bc most people do want to hear what we have to say we just need to relax and give ourself the time to say it.
