Honestly? You learn to not give a fuck. You'll always have those that seek to tear you down, the secret that took me a long time to learn was that their ability to do so was directly proportional to the amount of influence I gave them in that regard. Nowadays I treat my stutter as an interpersonal litmus test: meet someone new, I stutter, they wait for me to finish? That person is almost always worth my time. Meet someone new, they joke or "helpfully" finish my sentence, I tell them I stutter, they apologize and let me go on? Same deal. Meet someone new, I stutter, they mock me? Human garbage. It takes time, friend.
