No, never. I've tried not talking because I gave up, but why would I pretend to be something I'm not? Communicating in other ways is totally fine, of course. Pointing, notes, root sounds - whatever works. Don't experiment with - basically - _lies_. That's not a good way to carry yourself and your particular circumstance, in my opinion. If courage is something you're interested in, try having the courage to stutter in any and all situations. ;) I've certainly stuttered in many situations. We all have, right? :)
