Yes and no. I have hired several people and everyone has their own hang ups. For example, a lot of people have crippling anxiety in interviews. Employers look for a reason to hire. Owning it and saying “I have stutter, I find interviews difficult, I may need a bit more time to get my point across.” will serve most people very well. Hiring people is hard, you have ultra shy people, useless people, bullshit merchants etc. An employer wants to know whether your stutter will stop you from doing the job. You own it, say it doesn’t affect your performance, all you need is a bit longer to get your point across sometimes. There are exceptions but generally a stutter wont be the reason a person doesn’t get the job.
