I wonder if there are recruiters in other branches, guards or auxiliaries who would have advice on this. I don't have experience with this heartbreak but a congenital eye problem prevented someone I love from the air force OR navy. The need for soilders seems like it would be high enough to not boot you for a speech impediment but even if they had a "good reason" I hope you can find a way to be less discouraged. It's brave at this time to be willing and put in the work to embark on a military career. You are clearly capable of great dedication and it's cliche but the army will miss out. I know many people who have been rejected and found or retired from the military into civil service. Mostly EMT/Fire/Fire police/volunteer fire. If in US American Job Centers can fund EMT and even Fire training if you have income below a certain amount. I think those jobs can pay pretty well and idk if you are into driving fast but ambulance drivers make it look easy..... Good luck, don't let this get you down for too long! But I would feel bummed af too.
