I’m sorry about this. But I want to say that University gave me a new found confidence in myself and my stuttering. College tends to house a lot more open minded individuals, and it is a chance for you to meet an incredible amount of kind people. It was the first time where I genuinely wasn’t afraid to talk and speak up with the people I met and I just want to say that I hope you go outside your comfort zone to meet these friends, as I promise you that they are out there. What is your major you’re looking at if I may ask? I ask because my major made me feel valued, which made me talk in class and not censor who I was anymore. Lastly, you have to be kind to yourself when faced with perceived inadequacy. It takes time, but I was exactly where you were 5 years ago and my perspective on myself has changed entirely (for the better) and yours can too.
